In a preemptive election move the Conservative Association in Kensington and Chelsea has issued a leaflet claiming credit for ditching the plans to close permanently Charing Cross and Ealing Hospitals. The leaflet is, of course, carefully worded to be legally true, but utterly misleading. The Conservatives did NOTHING to dispel the anxieties of residents in West London and further afield about their local hospitals for 7 long years. Finally, with no money to spend on new major capital projects the Gov ditched the laughably named "Shaping a Healthier Future" plans.
